The big news for this episode is… Since leaving the airline industry, I’ve returned to university to study Advertising full time at RMIT in Melbourne. It requires a lot of my time and focus. As a result we will not have the time to commit to a weekly 1 hour radio show. Sadly, The Sound of Movies is coming to a close. This is the last live broadcast episode of the Sound of Movies. The podcasts will remain online for you to download through this website or through iTunes. You can still contact us through this website.
It has come to my attention that Gippsland FM will continue broadcasting repeats of the Sound of Movies every Saturday. Perhaps even additional days and time slots? There are over 1 years worth of episodes currently located in the Gippsland FM archives, so you can always tune into 104.7 Gippsland FM and know you’ll hear The Sound of Movies with Ashley Wincer and Ann Pulbrook.
Thank you to Ann Pulbrook for being a great radio host and sitting through all the movies we watched together over the last 2 years. It has been a huge commitment, but we have both gained a lot of knowledge and experience in broadcast radio as a result. Besides, having Ann on the show made The Sound of Movies a lot more interesting.
A big thank you must also go to Gippsland FM for providing both Ann and I the opportunity to become radio broadcasters. We both enjoy watching movies and TV series – Gippsland FM and The Sound of Movies provided us with an ideal way to justify all the time we spent watching TV series and movies. Now you, the listener, reap the benefits of hearing the official soundtracks and bits of discussions about the movie.
We hope you enjoyed listening to the final episode of the Sound of Movies – Office Space and Red Dog True Blue. This final episode of The Sound of Movies was broadcast from the Gippsland FM studios on Saturday January 28th 2017 at 12pm. If you have any questions about the Sound of Movies, please feel free to contact either Ashley Wincer or Ann Pulbrook by e-mail. You can follow the Sound of Movies on Facebook, Twitter or subscribe to our podcasts on iTunes.
