Slumdog Millionaire is a 2008 drama film directed by Danny Boyle and written by Simon Beaufoy. Co-directed in India by Loveleen Tandan. It is an adaptation of the 2005 novel Q & A by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.  Set and filmed in India, the film tells the story of Jamal Malik, a young man from the Juhu slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and greatly exceeds people’s expectations.  This in turn arouses suspicions of cheating; Jamal recounts in flashback how he knew the answers to each question.  Each question is linked to a key event in his life.  Starring Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and many more.  Press play above to listen to the audio podcast or press play below to watch the official Slumdog Millionaire trailer.
